Fifth General Assembly of NCCN approved programme Guidelines for the year 08/09
Sunday 21st of December 2008 [ ??????, ??? ६, २०६५ ]

The fifth General Assembly of  Nepal Rastriya Mandali Parisad  was held in Kathmandu on 11th September 2008. NCCN members from different parts of the country representing different Churches were present in the assembly.

 

Inaugurating the assembly, the president of NCCN, Ps. Simon Gurung expressed thanks to all the members for their continuous prayer and support to the works of NCCN. 

 

Addressing the assembly, General Secretary of NCCN, Dr. K.B. Rokaya  presented the progress report of the past fiscal year, 07/08. He also presented the draft copy of the programme and budget for the fiscal year 08/09 among the members of the assembly for discussion and to give it final form  including the suggestions and recommendations  come from the assembly members and get approved from the assembly.

 

General Secretary Dr. Rokaya gave thanks to the assembly members for their supports and cooperation to the work of NCCN at different level. He also expressed thanks to all the working partners, Churches, Para Church organizations for the supports, cooperation and prayers for the promotion of the NCCN work in Nepal.

 

He  also expressed thanks to the  media, Civil society, Government and political parties for their  cooperation  and recognition to the  NCCN campaign for the  promotion of peace, justice, democracy, equality and religious freedom in Nepal.

 

Dr. Rokaya Shared about the opportunities and challenges for the NCCN in the coming year and need of  more support from the members in the days to come.

 

The assembly, members discussed on the proposed programme guidelines and budget for the coming fiscal years and provided some suggestions.

 

They  expressed thanks to the General Secretary, the executive committee and NCCN staff for  their strong commitment and  devotion  in the NCCN activities  because of which NCCN  could make such a significant and valuable impact in the  social transformation  process of Nepal.  After intensive discussion, the assembly approved the programme guidelines  and budget for the coming fiscal year. It also approved the expenses of the last fiscal year giving thanks to the executive committee for such a great achievement with limited resources  and within a short period of time. It also decided to give heartfelt thanks to all the partners, coworkers and the churches for their continuous support and prayers to the work of NCCN.
